Tutte le strade portano a Roma

"I sing of arms, and of the hero who, being driven from his country by the decrees of Fate, once upon a time in Troy, first came to Italy, to the Lavinian shore, and established his gods in Latium, where the Latin race sprang from."
Virgilio, Eneide

My journey at the rediscovery of the legendary places started from these shores and the timeless countryside, where I was above all attracted by what has been lost or still remains of this world. Here I tried to catch scenes and moments of ordinary daily life, along with atmospheres, faces, gestures, sensations, looking for them on the shore and among the roads, to tell the story of a half-submerged universe, in a difficult balance between the past and a contradictory present, between ancient heritage and wild speculations. I am trying to describe an existential condition in a land of ancient memory, where too many wrong hands have operated for long, exploiting and plundering it. It is also a personal search, an inner journey through the places of my life, which is mainly a time of memory and a place of the soul.
